We are facing a crossroads: climate change, global warming are the challenge of the future, to be faced today. The deforestation of forests and the subsequent increase in CO2 emissions is an important cause of global warming. For this reason, we at Colorprint have decided to adopt the FSC® certification.
FSC® promotes environmentally friendly, socially useful and economically sustainable forest management worldwide.
FSC® forest management standards include the protection of water quality, prohibit the cutting of ancient forests, prevent the loss of natural forest cover and prohibit the use of highly toxic chemicals – all aspects concerning the forest management system.

For example, FSC® prohibits the use of atrazine – which is legal in the US but not in Europe – since, as has been shown, it causes water pollution and foetus malformation. Other certification schemes, on the other hand, allow the use of this chemical product, also by aerial spraying.
